February 11th-14th Jk-Grade 3 music classes

The Jk classes enjoyed waving scarves in time to the valentine "Heart" song.

 
Grade 1 classes learned about the 7 notes in the musical alphabet and coloured in the musical alphabet notes with hearts.

SK classes loved playing the musical rhythm heart game.  Here the SK classes are practicing their rhythm consisting of quarter notes, eight notes and quarter rests using ta, ti ti and rests while clapping.

 SK classes walked around chairs while listening to music and when the music stopped they sat in the closest chair to clap their heart rhythm.

 The musical chair heart rhythm valentine game was so much fun for all and the students are now experts at clapping many musical rhythms!

 Grade 1 classes sang Love Grows Under for Valentine's Day and played the musical heart rhythm game.
